ShaAnas / SafeConfig

Find the mismatch.
Before the rollout.

Review Fleet and osquery configuration compatibility against agreed target builds. Separate a static configuration finding from what still needs an isolated runtime test.

Private evaluation · implementation access by agreement

This public page presents modeled examples. It does not accept customer files, run a live check or connect to your infrastructure.

Three modeled cases

See the problem.
Agree what to verify.

These are illustrative scenarios, not live results or claims that this page has tested a real configuration or pipeline.

01 / ILLUSTRATION

A required option is unavailable.

A configuration asks for a DNS interval, while one older target build does not support that setting.

Question for a private evaluation: Which build can meet the policy, and does removing the setting change the intended behaviour?

Modeled example · no live check
02 / ILLUSTRATION

The name is valid. The type differs.

A known option is supplied with a text value where the target metadata expects a number or another JSON type.

Question for a private evaluation: Does the supplied value match the type supported by each agreed build?

Modeled example · no live check
03 / ILLUSTRATION

Static screening looks compatible.

The declared option names and value types match the selected build metadata.

Question for a private evaluation: What separate native checks are still needed for SQL, runtime behaviour and actual configuration delivery?

Modeled example · no live check

Private pilot scope

A focused check,
with agreed evidence.

A focused evaluation can cover one configuration, agreed osquery builds, an OS/architecture and, where needed, an isolated Fleet environment. The objective is a reproducible set of findings and a report tied to that scope.

Agree the materials, environment, expected outcomes and access before evaluation. The implementation and evaluation components are supplied privately by agreement.

Read the limits with the result.

  • Static screening checks supported option names and types; it does not by itself prove SQL execution or runtime behaviour.
  • Configuration delivery, rollback and network behaviour need their own controlled evidence.
  • Results for one build, OS or lab environment are not a production-fleet guarantee.
